The LSU Family Association collaborates with regional LSU Alumni Chapters to host incoming student send-off parties. The send-offs are a great way for incoming students to meet other students from their area before arriving on campus. Parents and families can take advantage by connecting with one another and visiting with LSU alumni, who may be able to provide additional perspective.
As part of the University's official welcome week, Bengal Bound, the Family Association hosts a banana split social during move-in day. Moving your student into their campus residence can be hard work, and there's no better way to cool off than with a few scoops of ice cream. We'll have staff on-hand to answer any questions you might have before leaving your student for the fall semester.
Family Weekend is the largest programming event hosted by the Family Association and occurs each fall. Family members of LSU students are invited to campus for a weekend of activities, programs and chance to watch LSU Football play in Death Valley. There is no better way to enjoy the LSU experience with your student than during gameday in Baton Rouge.
