We hate to see you go, and we'd love to have you back.
Every semester students have to leave LSU before they are able to complete their academic degree programs. Life circumstances such as financial difficulties, family crises, or employment obligations can take students away from studies and interrupt the original timeline for graduation. If you are considering coming back to LSU, we have resources and support for you.
You leave LSU during the semester and plan to return the next semester.
If you leave/resign from the university during the semester, then you can return to the university in the semester immediately following without having to reapply. You simply schedule classes.
You leave LSU during the semester and sit out the next semester as well.
If you leave/resign from the university and subsequently sit out an entire fall or spring semester, then you must re-apply for admission to the University. If you left in good standing, your re-admission application will be forwarded to your senior college when you re-apply.
You leave LSU and take courses for credit at another institution.
If you leave/resign from the university and take classes for credit at another institution then you must re-apply for admission to the University but are not required to meet transfer student requirements if you took less than 30 hours at the other institution.
For information about re-applying to Louisiana State University, please contact Undergraduate Admissions at email@example.com or (225) 578-1175.
You’ll always be a Tiger.
