Tutors assist students with homework, projects and assignments, help students understand concepts, and apply effective learning strategies. Tutoring peers is a rewarding experience as tutors not only empower their peers, but also strengthen their own conceptual knowledge and academic performance. Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leader

Tutorial Center Liaison

The Shell Tutorial Center serves nearly 2,800 students per semester through the dedication of approximately 55 tutors.  The Tutorial Center Liaison will work with tutors to make sure students receive service in a timely manner.  An ideal candidate will be an undergraduate who is dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and friendly. Academic Support Graduate Assistant

Conduct observations of Supplemental Instruction (SI) leaders, assist in the training of SI leaders, collect and verify paperwork turned into SI program, and supervise student workers doing data entry. Must have evening availability and background in a human or social science, e.g. history, political science, sociology, or education.
